Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 – Edwina married James A Young, a Northeast graduate in 1961. They have two children, Alan Edward (1) and Sonja Sue (9). Edwina is a housewife and a student attending the Dental Assisting School and will graduate in August 1972. Her two kids keep her busy, but she does enjoy sewing, working I the yard in the summer and also is active in her church. They lived in Powell, Wyoming for a year and really liked it, but decided to return to Lincoln. In spare time they enjoy skiing in Colorado, go camping or anything they can do as a family.

1982 – Edwina has been married to Jim Young (class of ’61) for 21 years. They have 2 children, Alan (20) and Sonja (19). She has worked as a dental assistant specialist at the College of Dentistry for the past 10 years. They enjoy sailing, Skiing, and being with their children and friends.

1987 – Edwina was a Certified Dental Assistant for twelve years. She now works with Jim, who owns a computer software company. Edwina and Jim have a new hobby, hot air ballooning, in additional to sailing and biking. They are the parents of Alan (24) and Sonja (23).

1997 – For the last 6 years we have been living and traveling on a 36’ sailing vessel. Our trips have been to the Islands in the Bahamas and United States. Hope to do some land travels also. The grandchildren have been an added enjoyment. Other hobbies are sewing, wood chipping, camping, and lots of daily experiences.

2002 – Jim and I have been living on a 36’ sailboat “Jasper J” for the past 11 years. Have met some wonderful people in our travels. Our grandchildren and children play an important part in our lives. Doesn’t seem like 40 years has already passed, will be fun seeing everyone. Love to knit, enjoy the sunshine, and people watching.

2007 – Married Jim Young Class of ’61, two children, became a grandmother to three great boys. Dental assistant for 13 years at UNL College of Dentistry, and then went sailing for 13 years and enjoyed every moment. Met lots of wonderful people. Returned to Lincoln in 2003 and went to work a Pedo office for 3 years and now I’m at Southeast High School in the food service. Enjoy hand work and being with family and friends.
