Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 –

1982 – Jody and Jerry have 2 children, Danny (19) and Connie (17½) and a grandson! They lived in California for 14 years and then decided to come back to Nebraska. They opened a Truck Stop and Café on I-80 at the Hampton Interchange, which they ran for 2 years. Jody now works in a Law office in Grand Island as a receptionist for 7 lawyers and Jerry is a self-employed mechanic. They enjoy bowling, playing cards, fishing, boating, and camping.

1987 – Jody and Jerry celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on June 8, 1987. They have two children, Danny (24) and Connie (22) and four grandchildren: Danny Dee, Jr. (6), Alicia (3), Donald (2), and Betsy (3). Jody and Jerry lived in California for 14 years before returning to Nebraska and the good life. Jerry is a machinist for NAPA and Jody works for the Aurora Mall. They have a 750 Honda and go biking on Sunday afternoons and nice summer evenings.

1997 – Bowling, fishing and boating. Most of all spending time with my grandchildren. Was married for 32 years and after Jerry passed away I moved to Lincoln and met Jim Akeson and am now engaged to be married to him in “98”. We enjoy my grand kids and also fishing, I hope to learn to golf sometime soon.

2002 – After I lost my first husband of a heart attack, I was introduced to my husband now, Jim Akeson, and here we are both from Northeast. Kind of a neat thought. Best thing that ever happened to me was meeting Jim and marrying him.

2007 – I was married for 32 years to Jerry Sutton when he died of a heart attack and then was introduced to Jim Akeson, who graduated in 1963 from Northeast. We have been married 9 years. We love to fish on our boat. Jim works for LPS, so I have gone with him many times to Northeast for one thing or another and it always brings back old memories of my school days. I still work at the College of Dentistry, have been ther for 10 years.
