Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 – John earned a BA from Earlham College, Richmond, IN and a MS from the University of Oregon and is now a geologist. He has lived two years or more in Indiana, Wisconsin, Oregon, and New Mexico. Slept on 20 feet of snow and on desert sand, kept loose contact with the street people, all the while being straight (more or less, himself). He says he finds the normal working world rather dull. Regarding his spare time, he says, “Give ma a month—I’ll go to London, a year-I’ll retire and live on soybeans and rice in the Colorado mountains. As it is, with only one and two days at a whack, I make do chasing down Indian ruins and otherwise getting into the marvelous New Mexico back country.” He enjoys reading, writing, and archaeology.

1982 – John is divorced and has no children. He is currently a geologist with the US Forest Service. He enjoys fishing, skiing, and is pursuing a dream of writing and selling novels. He has earned a BS from Earlham College (Richmond, IN), MS from the University of Oregon in Geology in 1969 and a MS in Watershed Sciences in 1976.
