Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 – Dick and Cheryl, both graduates of the Class of ’62, have two children, Jeffery (3˝) and Jennifer (7 months). Dick was in the Army from 1966 – 1968 in the Engineers and spent one year in Viet Nam. He is now a switchman with the Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph. They lived in Hinesville, Georgia for a short time. Dick enjoys motorcycling, hunting and fishing and Cheryl works with ceramics.

1982 – Dick and Cheryl are both graduates of the Class of ’62. They were married in 1964 and have 2 children, Jeff (13) and Jenny (10). Much of their time is spent doing things with their children. They have both spent many hours with Scouts, Campfire Girls, PTA, etc. They like to go camping, when they can. Dick enjoys hunting and fishing and Cheryl likes to do tote painting. They both do stained glass. Dick is a switchman at the Lincoln Telephone Company. Cheryl is an orthopedic aide at Brownell School.

1987 – Dick and Cheryl still spend much of their “spare” time following the activities of Jeff (18) and Jenny (15). Jeff graduated from Northeast last spring and Jenny is a sophomore (and a basketball player) this year. Dick is C.O.E. technician with the telephone company and has worked for LTT since 1968. Cheryl is an orthopedic paraprofessional at the Brownell School Early Childhood Special Education Program. Dick is taking an electronics course at Southeast community College. The Ways continue to hunt pheasant and quail every fall.

1997 – Cheryl is having fun learning to use the computer, oil painting & would like to play the piano someday. Dick likes to hunt, go to sprint car races and he is building a Chevy Nova Hot Rod. They both enjoy the mountains and antique hunting. Their favorite pastime is the time they spend with their granddaughter, Kelsi.
