What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 – Judy is married to Ron Converse, a Northeast graduate in 1959, and they have one boy, John age 5. Judy attended the University of Nebraska a short time and is now cook, maid, chauffeur, and handyman. She likes to knit and sew and enjoys the days she spends working in the library at school. She spends some time crusading to clean up the air in her neighborhood, likes to play bridge with the girls, and enjoys interior design work. They spend one month a year in Oregon visiting relatives and bumming around and also enjoy camping and hiking I the mountains there. She likes to bowl and finds bike riding a very pleasant way to get around, as long as she doesn’t have far to go. She would like to learn how to shoot a better game of pool and still enjoys swimming every chance she gets. She found display work very interesting and is looking forward to returning to work this fall.

1982 – Judy is currently producing and working Morning Drive (6 to 9 AM) at KQ-92 FM radio, (the lady is a Rock ‘n Roll disk jockey) in Minneapolis, after an 8 year gig at KLMS radio in Lincoln. She spends her ‘spare time’ holding her own in the 15^th largest radio market in the US against her 99% male competition. Judy is active in American Women in Radio and Television and the Minneapolis-St Paul Status of Women Commission. She also does free-lance interview work for CBS television twice yearly in Chicago. Her 16-year old son, John, is the love of her life and she enjoys music ‘on and off air’. Judy is still trying to figure out how she could be out of high school for 20 years at her age.
