Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 – Sharon and Paul have two children, Machelle Suszan (6) and Troy Allen (4). Sharon is a farm wife and her hobbies are sewing and ceramics. They enjoy vacations in the mountains of Colorado and Wyoming. In 1969 they took their pickup and pull-camper and 350 Honda and spent six days around Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They also enjoy sled riding, coyote hunting, and water skiing.

1987 – Sharon and Paul have two children, Machelle (22) and Troy (20), both are in college. They raise corn and soybeans and own a manufacturing business with 9 employees, which they operate on their 720-acre farm near Creston, Iowa. Sharon helps with the business and Vice-president, Secretary, “and go-for”. She runs the computer and does all the office work for the company and also help “put in and take out the crops. She says “I seem to always have something to do”. Sharon and Paul enjoy motorcycle camping trips to Iowa lakes Sharon bowls (3 nights a week in the winter) and was elected President of her Bowling Association this year, after six years of bowling and participation on several committees. She also collects Cabbage Patch Dolls, does oil painting, and ceramics.

2007 – I’m doing fine in life. I’ve had a lot of down falls but you just have to pick yourself up and go on, because there is always tomorrow and it could be a great day. I’m a foster grandparent. I go to school and work with first graders with math and reading. They all call me Grandma Sharon. It is very fun and interesting, I  love it. I have a little Shik Izu dog, anmed Angel. She weights 7 lbs and is spoiled to the end. Everyone in the building loves her. I walk her every day and when I go in the car she alwways goes with me – I guess ou could call her my seat mate. There’s a guy who lives here and in the summer we go to the stock car races. I aso have a lot of flowers outside my apartment and I grow tomatoes and cucumbers for everyone in here. I’m very happy.
