Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 – Sandra and Charles have three children, David Scott born June 2, 1964, Charles E. Jr born November 20, 1967, and William Jay born October 11, 1971. Sandra raises tropical fish, collects antiques, raises orchid plants, and occasionally does photo coloring. They spend most of their spare time fishing and camping and have made four trips to Colorado, and took a tour of Nebraska, Minnesota, and South Dakota. They raise a large garden every year and enjoy its benefit in the winter. When fall arrives, it’s Nebraska Football – in fact all football.

1982 – Sandy and her husband Chuck have 5 children of their own and one foster child. Dave is 17, Butch is 14, Darold is 15, Bill is 10, Aaron is 5 and Jenny is 3. Chuck works for the Department of Roads and has a small hog operation. They spend a lot of their time working with foster children. Sandra is secretary of the Lincoln Foster Parent and Adoptive Association. She has taken classes at UNL in Child Psychology and Special Ed. They spend their summers traveling and seeing the US. They are also active in a bowling league.

1987 – Sandy and Chuck received the Gateway Sertoma Service to Mankind award and the Midwest Regional Service to Mankind award in 1984. Sandy works with the Nebraska Department of Social Services as a family support worker, providing any services to keep families intact or to return foster children to their homes. She and Chuck have two foster children, Darold (21) and Joe (5) in addition to their other kids, Dave (23), Butch Jr, (19), Aaron (10), and Jenny (8). Sandy collects antiques and Pat Buckner Moss prints, writes articles on foster care and family support workers and also likes photography and traveling.

1997 –

2002 -

2007 – My husband and I love to travel. We also spend a great deal of time with family. I do a lot of gardeming, quilting, scrapbooking, and needlework. We have been to Maui in 2002,.we went to Alsaka in 2005, 2006 we took a 14 day trip to Utah, Arizonia, New Mexico, and Colorado with our son Dave and his wife Jean and her mother. We’ve taken several trips with kids to Florida and Colorado. We are retired but are twice as busy now it seems. Our grandchildren keep us busy with all their activities and trips they want to take.
