Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 – Honey Lou received a BME from Nebraska Wesleyan in 1966 and is now an elementary music teacher in Onawa where she has lived since graduating from college. She enjoys bridge, bowling and is in the Sioux City branch of AAUW and gives private piano lessons in her home. The past three summers, she and Darrell have traveled to North Carolina where Darrell completed work on his masters at Duke University.

1982 – Honey Lou and Darrell have two boys, Joseph (6) and Patrick (10 months). Honey Lou received her Bachelor of Music degree from Nebraska Wesleyan. She has taught elementary vocal and instrumental music in the West Monona Community Schools for 16 years. Darrell teaches chemistry, physics, and physical science at the high school. She is church organist, coordinator of an annual arts and crafts show and active in the community theater. Bridge and golf are her hobbies.

1987 – Lou and Darrell have two sons, Joe (11) and Patrick (5). Lou teaches elementary vocal and instrumental music for the West Monona Community Schools. She is the organist and choir director at church and serves as a member of the liturgical committee and as an officer in Rosary Society. She is also a Cub Scout den leader. In her spare time, Lou is co-chairman f the Junior Department of the Onawa Woman’s Club, coordinator of the annual Arts and Crafts Show sponsored by the local hospital auxiliary and she plays some bridge.
