Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 – Marbo and Larry have one boy, Tobin (1). She graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1966 with a BA degree in Anthropology. Marbo’s hobbies are sewing, macramé, politics, and teaching Sunday school. They have taken vacations to New Orleans, Louisiana and Toronto, Canada. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting museums and traveling.

1982 – Marbo and Larry have 1 child, Tobin (11). Marbo received a BA in Anthropology from the University of Nebraska in 1966. She is a secretary for an engineering and solar architectural firm, which is pretty good since she had to teach herself to type in high school. Larry is Director of Arts Fund Raising fore the University of Iowa Foundation. Marbo enjoys reading, traveling, going to the ballet and dance performances and theater productions. They are involved with ‘Phase III’ of an ongoing remodeling project on their house.

1987 – Marbo and Larry have been married for twenty years and are the parents of Toby (16). Marbo works for Williams Nowysz & Associates, Architects, as office manager, “which means I do everything except the drafting. In 1983, she accompanied the University of Iowa jazz band to the Montreaux, Switzerland Jazz Festival. In 1985, she made her stage debut, at age 40, in the Handel opera “Agrippna” (a non singing role) and traveled with the opera to Italy and Austria for performances. A Danish exchange student lived with the family during the 1986-1987 school year. When Marbo has free time, she reads.

2002 – My father, Mr. Rush, and the LNE Art teacher to many of you, died in 1993 in Salem Oregon. My sister and brother-in-law, Armalie and Bob Hill, built a house with two ‘mother-in-law’ wings on a tree farm outside Jefferson, Oregon. My mom and Bob’s mom (Marcia Hill Suter’s mom) live with the, along with two dogs, 7 cats, ad tow birds. A great place to visit.

2007 – Planning to retoire after August of this year (2007). Seemed a bit worrisome at first, but now I can hardly wait to get to the next stage of my life.
