Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1982 – Ellen and Alexander have 2 children, Alissa (11) and Joanna (7). Ellen received her BA her BA from University of Denver in 1966 and has 30 graduate hours from the University of Texas. In 1966 she received the Community Relations Award from the Mayor’s office in Denver. She is now an Early Childhood Program Specialist. She trains staff for licensed child care centers. Alex is Chief of Space Applications for NASA. Most spare time is spent raising children with swimming, sailing, skiing, and touring thrown in on the side.

1987 – Ellen is Director of Technical Assistance and Community Relations for the Fairfax County Office for Children. She is in charge of all training for the county, as well as Information and Referral. The office works with parents, providers of day care and early childhood programs, and employers. Ellen and Alex are the parents of Alissa (16) and Jeanna (12). Recreational activities include skiing, going to the beach, socializing with friends and family.

1997 – Travel, photography, snorkeling

2007 – I remember my years in Lincoln fondly. It was a good place to grow up. Sledding in winter and a slower pace and a safe and orderly world created a solid childhood experience. I have lived in the suburbs odf Washington D.C. for thirty three years and call Northern Virginia home. Washington has always been a vibrant and interesting place to live. Very busy but very stimulating. My husband of 42 years and I had a very rewarding careers here; his with NASA headquarters and mine with Fairfax County Government in the area of Human Services Management. We have been retired for three years and have been enjoying our new sense of freedom. We have two wonderful children and three grandchildren. We have been fortunate enough to travel the world, both on business and for pleasure and have met and made friends with people from many countries and continents.We enjoy our family and friends as well as traveling, reading, attending the theather and Alex still plays softball in two separate over 50 leagues. We especially love the beach and have a house on the Eastern shore of Maryland which we recently renovated. The screened porch is our favorate spot, and having our children and grandchildren make use of the house and visit us gives us special pleasure. Hope to see you all at the 50^th reunion as I will be in Costa Rica at the 45^th and the trip was in the works way before I receive notice of the reunion. I enjoyed the 35^th reunion greatly and look forward to the next one. Hope to see you in five years.
