Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 – Chuck is married to the former Cindy Hester, a LNE grad in 1961, and they have one son, Jon born November 20, 1971. He graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan in 1967 and received a masters degree from Kearney State in the summer of 1972. Chuck is a teacher and coach in the Ord Public Schools and enjoys golf, fishing, and chess.

1982 – Chuck married Cindy Hester, LNE class of ’61, and he says “the fire is still burning brightly after 18 years of marriage”. They have two children, Jon (10) and Anne (8). Chuck graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan after “serving a 5 year term and running out of freshman English instructors”. After graduation, Chuck and Cindy singed contracts to teach in Ord, NE where they were the Physical Education department and Chuck coached football. He earned his MS degree from Kearney State. In 1974 he formed a partnership in 1976 and opened the Spearman, Squier, and McCashland Insurance Agency in Havelock. They enjoy following their children’s activities, other family activities, and playing golf.

1987 – Chuck is an Account Executive – Insurance with Chambers-Dobson / McCashland, Squier. He and Cindy follow their Kids’ activities and they enjoy golfing with Jon (15) and Anne (13). They also do some boating and fishing. Chuck also notes that it has been a pleasure to watch their friends children grow up and to follow their activities.

1997 –

2002 – Education has been a family affair. I, as an Administrator in the public schools, Cindy as a College Professor at Chadron State College, Jon as a teacher in the Lincoln Public Schools, and Anne as an Advisor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Cindy and I love to golf together; although she has been told that if she defeats me one more time I am looking for a new partner.
