Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 – Sue has three children, Dawn Marie (8), Sherry Lee (6), and Shelly Lynn (6) (twins). She is a food Service Supervisor at St Elizabeth Hospital and in training for Dietary Technician. She is active in the Young Republicans, a book club, and a card club. She has gone on trips to Kansas City, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Mexico. In her spare time she enjoys water skiing, boating, camping, and bowling.

1987 – Sue is the manager of Non-Patient Food Services at St. Elizabeth’s Community Health Center. She works for the largest food services company in the nation ARA. Her responsibilities include managing employees in the preparation and serving of 10,000-12,000 meals per week in the cafeteria, for senior diners program, as well as day care and outreach programs, and catering. She and her husband, Dick, also own an antique shop in the Haymarket and at the Burlington arcade all. In August, she co-chaired the Commercial/Federal/St. Elizabeth Block Party for approximately 3,000 people – the Temptations were guest stars. She has been honored as “employee of the month”. Her daughters, Dawn (24) and Sherry and Shelly (21) attended LNE. Dawn and Shelly were both cheerleaders and Sherry was a Star Strutter. Sue has 3 step-children and 2 step-grandchildren. When she has time, she hunts for antiques, buys and sells jewelry and collects “black heritage” memorabilia.

2007 – My husband and I own an antique business that started as a hobby and turned into a 36 year business. We had an antique shop in the Haymarket before his “retirement” and we sold antiques in 7 Antique Malls and at Antique shows in Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, and Arizona along with our real jobs. I am still active with Antique’s. I sell in 2 Antique malls and on ebay and have now even own a store on ebay (always have to keep busy). The grandkids (11 in total) also keep me busy. I’m always on the hunt for antiques and when I relax I have a good book in my hand because I am an avid reader.
