Life Highlights –

What you have told us about yourself these past 40 years

1972 –

1982 – Kay and Bob have 4 sons. The oldest is Jay (17), then Collin (16), Kyle (14) , and Kevin (11). She works as a political consultant and also spends time as social secretary to 3 teenage boys. Bob is superintendent of station operations for the US Postal Service at Station B in Lincoln. Kay says she’s a ‘political junkie’. She was chair of the Lancaster County Democratic Party for 4 years, member of the Nebraska Democratic Party for 2 years. She was a candidate for County Commissioner in 1980. She received awards from the Outstanding Americans Foundation in 1978 and 1979. She was a delegate to the National Democratic Party Mid-term Convention in 1978.Kay is currently researching material for a history of Lincoln following the Civil War.

1987 – After retiring from active and constant political hacking, Kay went to work at Bethany Library. Although she failed to be named “Mother of the Year” for 22 consecutive years, she still ahs hopes. She and Bob have survived (mostly) being parents. Jay is now 22 and recently married Brenda ( a daughter at last), Colin is 21, Kyle is 20, and Kevin is 16. Kay is an avid reader, she does occasionally consult on a political campaign, drags Bob to dance classes despite his pleading to stay home. She likes to play piano and guitar, paint, write, and shop.

1997 – Sailing, traveling, dancing, procrastinating.

2002 – Responsible for a large increase in the number of Clarks. Thank you all for the hard work you are doing organizing the reunions! You are all very special.
